Oil analysis is the most cost-effective service to prevent machine breakdowns and reduce your lubrication and maintenance costs.
Monition's laboratory services team analyse oil chemistry to detect the condition of your oil and advise when it needs changing to ensure the ongoing protection of your machinery.
■ Haulage - HGV
■ Construction - heavy plant
■ Quarrying – mining/opencast plant
■ Rail – engines/carriages/OTM plant machinery
■ General industry – engines/gearboxes/pumps
■ Oil analysis
■ Engine oil analysis
■ Oil composition
■ TAN testing
■ Viscosity testing
Analysis of wear metals (tiny metal particles produced when two metal surfaces rub each other) and other contaminants (dust, water, additives, or even wrong oil grade) within the lubricant will reveal any deteriorating internal components.
Monition's laboratory services can pinpoint the source of wear metals (bearings, gears, clutch plates etc.), trend the wear-rate of the deteriorating internal component and then advise when maintenance needs to be scheduled to prevent a breakdown in service.
Monition can provide customers with complete oil sampling kits, each containing sample bottles, plastic syringes, tubing and return pre-paid envelope. A customer can simply send their oil samples to Monition's laboratory, and Monition will return a fully-detailed report within a few working days.
Monition can also provide customers with a complete on-site oil sampling service within most parts of mainland UK, through their team of specialist CBM engineers.
Monition's laboratory analyses thousands of gearbox, engine, compressor and hydraulic oils every year, with industrial customers ranging from Quarries to Rail Operators to Food Manufacturers.
Monition’s oil analysis report features colour-coded alarm-levels and clear comments for recommended maintenance action.
This enables customers to:
■ Maximise oil lifetime by only replacing lubricants when necessary
■ Prevent breakdowns by early identification of deteriorating machine components
■ Schedule planned downtime to maintain machines
■ Reduce lubrication and maintenance expense
■ Reduce environmental impact by reducing waste oils
■ Manage machinery lubrication programmes effectively
Monition’s Range Of Standard, In-House Analysis Tests Include:
