The Ultimate 2-in1 Accessory

The Bowl

Multiple Thread Sizes Available
Various Dimension Options Available

Product Features:

The ultimate 2-in-1 accessory, the Bowl serves as both a sight glass and BS&W bowl. Made of impact-resistant Tritan™, the Bowl is stronger than other drain port sight glasses, crystal clear and chemically resistant.

The distinctive contour design allows for immediate visual inspection of the oil, along with early detection of potential contamination problems such as water and sediment.

Providing a visual indication of wear debris while the machine is running, the Bowl's rare earth magnetic drain plug also protects machinery by attracting and drawing wear particles to the bottom, proactively preventing machine failure and enabling a thorough drain of contaminates.

The instructions below detail in-field assembly. The Bowl may also pre-assembled prior to field use.

Apply thread-sealing paste to all threads. (Teflon tape is not recommended.)

Remove any debris from inside the Bowl prior to installation.

Install Adapter, if supplied, into drain port.

Use a 1 13/16-inch socket or box-end wrench to tighten the Bowl into the Adapter or drain port. (Do not use an open-end wrench or pipe wrench.)

The molded-in hex nut must bottom out to achieve a proper seal. (Do not exceed 50 foot-pounds of torque.)

Remove protective red cap from the optional magnet, if supplied.

Use a 9/16-inch wrench to tighten the Drain Valve until the valve's hex nut bottoms out. (Do not overtighten once the hex nut bottoms out.)

Check for leaks and repeat above steps if necessary.
