Condition Monitoring Vibration Analyst

Permanent Position:

Location: Worksop UK.

Salary: 28-36k Experience Dependant.

 

Monition Ltd are specialists at the forefront of Reliability and Condition Monitoring services, and are currently recruiting for a Vibration Analyst to join our team based at our head office at Worksop.

 

Reporting to the Senior Analyst, you’ll already have knowledge of how to test machines correctly, how to diagnose faults accurately and how to correctly ascertain types of fault, performing additional tests to verify your analysis as required.

 

You will be a confident decision-maker and have extensive expertise in maintenance techniques and condition monitoring, including knowledge and experience of machines including fans, compressors, conveyors, screens, pumps, blowers, canes, mixers, stirrers and so forth.

 

It’s also vital to have a rapport with our CBM field engineers, who will effectively act as your eyes and ears on the ground and be a vital source of knowledge as part of the decision making and reporting process.

Responsibilities

 

■ Analysing VA data returned from our team of CBM engineers working in a variety industries across the UK.

 

■ Analyse vibration spectra, time waveforms, envelope and phase measurements in order to diagnose machinery faults.

 

■ Follow operating procedures, work to in-house procedures and follow safe working procedures.

 

■ Accurately record data, maintain work records and work in line with our ISO9001 quality system.

 

■ Customer interaction is a key part of this role – applicants should be conversant in VA and relish the chance to discuss findings with our clients.

 

■ Assist in attaining the throughput goals of the department and help drive continuous improvement.

 

■ To integrate supplementary techniques such as ultrasound, thermography and oil analysis where applicable, to gain a better understanding of monitored equipment.

 

■ Compile clear and concise reports based on your findings.

Qualifications and Experience

 

Vibration Analysis Training: ISO Category II or Equivalent.

 

We are ideally looking for someone who is familiar with Emerson CSI2130 vibration meters and AMS Machinery Manager Software, although this is not essential - attitude and enthusiasm are just as important and training will be provided.

 

The ideal candidate should be a great communicator who is comfortable working in a team environment, as well as having a good degree of computer literacy. The successful applicant will be required to work with a number bespoke software tools for which full training will be provided.

Lubrication Technician

Permanent Positions: Full and Part-Time Available.

Locations: Halifax, Northampton, South Scotland.

Salary: 20-22k Experience Dependant.

Key Responsibilities of the Role will include...

 

■ Lubrication of plant equipment.

 

■ Liaise with client engineering teams.

 

■ Inspection and maintenance of lubrication points and oil levels.

 

■ Completion of visual PMs and equipment inspections.

 

■ Fluid sampling for return to the Monition laboratory.

 

■ Follow operating procedures, work to in-house procedures and follow safe working procedures.

 

■ Assisting sites with inventory management.

 

■ Concise and accurately reporting your findings.

 

■ The role will involve working five weekdays per week, however occasional weekend work or overtime is a possibility.

Skills / Experience Required

 

Previous experience in a similar role is vital, with knowledge and experience of machinery lubrication, engineering and mechanical maintenance a must. The candidate will need to be a methodical worker with exceptional attention to detail.

 

Qualification to MLA or MLT Level 1 or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.

Condition Based Monitoring Engineer

Salary: 25-35k Experience Dependant.

Key Responsibilities of the Role will include...

 

■ Collection of Vibration Analysis data.

 

■ Lubrication of plant equipment.

 

■ Liaising with client engineering teams.

 

■ Inspection and maintenance of equipment, lubrication points and oil levels.

 

■ Completion of visual PMs and equipment inspections.

 

■ Fluid sampling for return to the Monition laboratory.

 

■ Assisting sites with inventory management.

 

■ Concise and accurately reporting your findings.

 

■ The role will involve working five weekdays per week with some overtime occasional weekend work, depending on customer requirements.

Skills / Experience Required

 

Previous experience in a similar role is vital, with knowledge of machinery lubrication, engineering and mechanical maintenance a must. The candidate will need to be a methodical worker with exceptional attention to detail.

 

Qualifications in Condition Monitoring or engineering are desirable, for example to BINDT VA Level 1 or similar. MLA/MLT 1 would also be advantageous, but is not essential.

 

You will also need:

• Industry/site experience.

• Good H&S awareness.

• A calm temperament under pressure.

• A full driving licence.

• Good IT skills.
